CIGNA HealthCare provides managed medical, pharmacy and dental insurance plans. They offer plans across a wide variety of group plans including indemnity, POS, PPO, EPO, and HMO plans. CIGNA offers products to the small, medium, and large companies and has been a market innovator and leader in alternatively funded programs – minimum premium (split-funding), and administrative services (ASO) only or self-funding programs.

Cigna also offers group life, accident and supplemental health insurance, as well as individual health plans. CIGNA’s Group Insurance area offers products ranging from group life, disability and accident plans.

In 2009, it appears Cigna is looking at the small group market again, as in New York City; Cigna released its Cigna EPO, which is actually priced very well amongst its competitors. They do not appear to have the product in NJ, though Cigna did release the Cigna Open Access POS product, which is both priced well, and does boast a very comprehensive network of physicians.

CIGNA also offers products to association members and affinity groups.
