Humana offers individual, group, and Medicare plans in most states including D.C. and Puerto Rico. That said specific to our company, Health Insurance Geeks, we offer Humana plans in North Carolina, South Carolina and Virginia currently. We have a national contract and are able to offer plans anywhere Humana is represented; however our current paid advertising campaign through Google, is concentrated on the above states.
With the dramatically depressed economy, and with no good outlook in site, we have been very successful coupling consumer-directed strategies with high-deductible health plans. This is a good alternative for companies looking to offer a set employee-contribution monthly, and allowing employees to select a la carte they type of plan and price-point that fits best. Humana and the states in which we represent them is a good alternative as we can sell individual/family plans to companies, or a group product.
